Clearfield starts its celebration big on Monday, June 27 with a party on the Center Street Bridge. Starting at 7:30 p.m., it is dubbed the Paint the Bridge Party. The city provides paint, food trucks, and music. They invite the public to paint their bridge, eat, and dance as the lyrics to the song say, “all night long.”
Things go quiet until Saturday evening when the city sponsors a movie in Steed Park. Concessions allow the purchase of food and games are set up until the movie starts at 9 p.m.
Sunday features a patriotic concert with music provided by Clearfield City Community Band and Choir. They will play all the Independence Day Classics.
Things cool off a bit Monday night at the Clearfield Aquatic Center with a Pool Bash – a community pool party. They warm up again Tuesday morning with a 5K run. You don’t even have to finish to get a T-shirt – you get it at the start.
The excitement builds with the Hometown Parade beginning at 9:30 a.m. You can keep all the candy you can gather – there will be a lot as they continue this long-time tradition.
The Freedom Festival at Fisher Park is the culmination of their July 4th festivities – featuring tasty treats, fun vendors, ice-cold beverages, and breathtaking fireworks. They claim to have the second-largest fireworks display in the state.
