Day of the Dead Utah at Utah Cultural Celebration Center
Día de los Muertos music, ofrendas and chalk art in West Valley City
Basic Information
Day of the Dead Utah returns to the Utah Cultural Celebration Center each fall, from noon to 6 pm. The celebration honors loved ones who have passed through traditional music and dance, with performing groups bringing colorful costumes and mariachi to the stage throughout the afternoon.
Visitors can explore an ofrenda and art gallery filled with altars honoring family and community, and meet the ofrenda bearers who share the stories behind their displays. Chalk artists will create vibrant works inspired by Día de los Muertos on the pavement throughout the event. The gathering offers a welcoming afternoon for families and friends to take part in remembrance, creativity and community connection at the West Valley City venue.
