Fun Things to Do for St. Patrick’s Day in Utah

What to do in Utah if you are feelin’ a little Irish this St. Patricks Day? There are plenty of local opportunities to celebrate Irish heritage and traditions. St. Paddy’s Day offers all things Irish, good food, drink, music, and culture. Celebrate at a local pub or watch a parade!
Here are some local events you can check out this St. Patrick’s Day:
St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Want to see some leprechauns? Your chances increase with Salt Lake City’s own St. Patrick’s Day parade. Organized by the Hibernian Society of Utah, the parade starts at 11:00 am pm Saturday, March 12, and winds its way through The Gateway in downtown Salt Lake.
Flanagan’s
This popular Park City pub offers some great food, including some Irish favorites like shepherd’s pie, bangers n’ mash, and traditional corned beef & cabbage. At least drop by Flanagan’s and share an Irish coffee or a Guinness with some friends.
Celtic Celebration at Peery’s Egyptian Theater
If you are looking for some culture for St. Patrick’s Day, then you should check out the Celtic celebration at the Egyptian Theater in Ogden. If you love St. Patrick’s Day, you don’t want to miss this event.
Squatter’s
For more than two decades, Squatter’s is a Salt Lake City mainstay. This brewpub is known for its craft beers and friendly staff. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with some good food and a pint of whatever makes you feel Irish.
Dead City Haunted House
Looking for a little “scary” on St. Paddy’s Day? This one-night event, The St. Patrick’s Slay, is on March 12 from 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm at the Dead City Haunted House in Murray.
Parade and Party in Price
On Saturday morning, March 12, head to Price for the parade in the morning and catch a corned beef and cabbage lunch (burgers and hotdogs too) at the Notre Dame Hope Community Center at noon.

Festivities kick off with the annual “St. Practice Day” party the Friday before St. Patrick’s Day.

Hosted by the Monarch Market in Ogden, the Get Your Green On event offers a beer garden, snacks, and several food vendors. The event is held the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day and features live entertainment too.

Celebrating Queen Performs
If you are in Southern Utah this St. Patricks Day, you might want to catch a live performance of the Celebrating Queen tribute band at Dixie States Cox Center. Great event for the entire family.
Celtic Women Perform
More Irish from Southern Utah. The all-female Celtic Women will give their St. Patrick’s Day-themed music performance “Postcards from Ireland” at St. George Theatre on March 13. This live performance celebrates the rich history of Ireland taking audiences on a journey song from across the Emerald Isle.

St. Patrick’s Family Sock Hop Dance
Presented by USU Extension at Cache County Event Center, in Logan is the family-fun dance on March 14. Dance instruction and prizes (“Best Green Outfit” and “Best Family Socks”) will be given. Tickets benefit the local 4H club.
