Join us for the upcoming “A Tribute To The Bob Hope USO Shows In Vietnam” event, taking place next weekend July 9th, 2022 at the Ed Kenley Amphitheater. This event is hosted by the Utah Vietnam Veterans of America & Associates along with Layton City. Thank you to our sponsors Humana, Mountain America Credit Union, My Local Utah, and 360 Marketing & Advertising.
Entertainment for the whole family! All proceeds go towards helping support the funding for the new “Freedom’s Memorial Plaza”, which will be a beautiful addition to accompany the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall Replica at the Layton Commons memorial. The additional new plaza will be designed to center a reflection pond surrounded by 13 pillars representing the original 13 colonies.
This star-studded cast will bring back inspirational memories of days gone by. Gates will open at 7:00 p.m. and the show starts at 8:00 p.m. Ticket prices are $18 to $28. Tickets are available now at LaytonUSOshow.Eventbrite.com. Get your tickets, enjoy the show, and contribute to the building of Freedom’s Memorial Plaza.
The show features:
- Bill Johnson – Bob Hope Tribute Artist. Bob Hope’s life in comedy comes to life once again with this look-alike- and sound-alike- tribute to the legendary comedian. Bill Johnson has performed his tribute to the late, great Bob Hope across the U.S, and the South Pacific to rave reviews.
- Michelle DellaFave – was a member of singing and dancing troupes on The Dean Martin Show – first with “The Dingaling Sisters,” then the likely better-known group “The Golddiggers.” She accompanied Bob Hope’s two USO tours to Vietnam.
- Holly Faris – is a one-woman show unlike any you have seen before! Holly has thrilled audiences from coast-to-coast with her assortment of celebrity impersonations and comedy, providing world-class entertainment for all events. Joan Rivers to Tina Turner, Cher, Dolly Parton, Liza Minelli, Marilyn Monroe, Bette Midler and so many others, Holly offers audiences hilarious impersonations, touching portrayals, and a bit of nostalgia, but mostly just crowd pleasing warmth that has set her apart from the rest.
- Kim Walters – is a popular vocal artist.
We are looking forward to some amazing live performances, in celebration of the newly announced “Freedom’s Memorial Plaza”. Come out and be a part of this great and proud moment as we all contribute to this great new historical monument, honor our heroes, and recognize the sacrifices made. If you are unable to attend you can contribute, support, and help fund the new “Freedom’s Memorial Plaza”. Donations are accepted at Layton City Parks and Recreation Department, located at 465 North Wasatch Drive.
