Davis County’s Best Private Christian Academy
Since it’s beginning in 1994, Layton Christian Academy has been home to some of the greatest students and faculty in Northern Utah. LCA has grown from only a Kindergarten program to an International School of Preschool – 12th grade with over 450 students! Students from all over the world attend LCA each year to not only grow academically, but spiritually as well. The faculty and staff at LCA are dedicated to educating the whole child- mind, body & spirit-and providing a place where everyone can belong.
Pre-K3, Pre-K4, Kindergarten
Our Preschool Program gives three and four-year-olds a head-start to Kindergarten in a fun Christian environment! Students are taught phonics, numbers, colors, and shapes with a fun theme each week and on Fridays, students attend Chapel with our Elementary school!
Layton Christian Academy also offers full-day Kindergarten! All children learn at their own speed. Although everyone will be taught at the same time, it doesn’t mean that every child will retain all the information given. With a full day of learning, we can push away any frustration and come back to it at a later time.
At Layton Christian Academy, the Elementary School Program continues through the 5th grade. Our goal is to prepare each student in all aspects of life; academic, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual. We provide a special place where the gifts of our students are recognized with enthusiasm and nurtured with care. We also provide challenging academics, a wide variety of extracurricular activities, and positive social interactions.
Our Elementary students get to enjoy many activities and clubs while they attend Layton Christian Academy. We have Grandparent’s Day, History Fair, Storytelling Festival, Science Fair, Spelling Bee, and more!
Middle school, at Layton Christian Academy, encompasses the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Our middle school-aged students, with young minds and growing faiths are attempting to establish themselves as Christian young people living in a secular world. At Layton Christian Academy Middle School, we have developed a program that addresses the need and concerns of middle school students and promotes continued growth in all areas of their lives.
The purpose of Layton Christian High School is to develop students into virtuous, well-educated adults who work for the flourishing of their families, communities, and countries across the world. A dedicated teaching faculty and coaching staff, a small teacher-to-student ratio, and a school culture based on Christian principles enable LCA students to thrive in pursuit of academic and athletic excellence. A successful LCA student is one who thinks critically and compassionately—one who does good work in order to work for the good of others.
Layton Christian Academy is a ministry of Christian Life Center and we accept students from all religious and ethnic backgrounds. Most students who apply to Layton Christian Academy are accepted, as every effort is taken to help each family who desires to enroll its children. Reasons for nonacceptance could include: class size at maximum capacity (may go on waiting list), history of low academic performance or behavioral issues, non-compliant attitude, family’s financial obligations not able to be met. Students may enroll at any time during the academic year.
