Quilts have played an important role in the fabric of history. Quilting is alive and well today. Handmade quilts are valued as works of art, not only for the work that goes into them, but what of themselves the maker puts into the quilt.
Halloween is alive and well at Lagoon in Farmington. What does Lagoon’s Frightmares have to offer that is a little different from other spook alleys? I am glad you asked.
People love Halloween. It seems like the celebration of Halloween gets bigger every year. Some houses feature huge displays – so big that I wonder where they store all that stuff for the rest of the year.
Some might think that the jamboree season is over for 2021 with September half over. Well, not so fast there partner! There are two jamborees scheduled at times and in parts of Utah that don’t see snow and cold weather quite so early. The first one is the subject of this article. Stay tuned for the next one.

The SxS Adventure Rally is set for November 11 – 13, 2021 at Sand Hollow State Park in Hurricane. Registration is $135 per person and includes an event T-shirt, breakfast each morning, and three days of guided adventures. You can register on-site, but the fee will be $145 and it will not include a T-shirt. Wednesday, November 10, is set aside for check-in and vendor setup.

In 29 years of riding ATVs, I have introduced a lot of people to the sport. In 2008, I helped form an ATV club, called the Northern Utah ATV Riders.
More jamborees are held in Utah than in any other state and people come from all over the country to attend them. County tourism boards are looking for ways to attract a share of the tourist dollars spent in Utah.
