Alta Ski Area sits at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon and is one of the most loved ski mountains in Utah. Alta is a skiers-only resort (no snowboarding), known for deep, light powder that averages more than 500 inches of snow a season.

With more than 2,600 skiable acres and close to half of its terrain rated beginner or intermediate, Alta works for first-timers and powder hounds alike.
