Claim Your BusinessKingsbury Hall has been part of Utah’s cultural life since it opened on the University of Utah campus in Salt Lake City in 1930. Designed by architects Edward O. Anderson and Lorenzo Snow Young and named for former university president Joseph T. Kingsbury, the hall seats close to 1,992 guests, giving it an intimate yet grand feel for performances of all kinds.
Broadway productions, concerts, lectures, and university events have all found a home here, and the hall played an early role in launching organizations such as Ballet West and Utah Opera. A 1996 renovation modernized the facilities while preserving the building’s historic charm, and in 2020 Kingsbury Hall hosted the vice presidential debate between Mike Pence and Kamala Harris.
With its blend of history and continued use for major events, Kingsbury Hall remains a fixture of the arts community in Salt Lake City. Call 801-581-7200 or stop by the Presidents’ Circle location on the University of Utah campus to learn more.
