Solitude Mountain Resort lives up to its name with a relaxed, uncrowded feel in Big Cottonwood Canyon. The mountain offers about 1,200 skiable acres, 82 named runs and nearly 2,500 vertical feet, with a mix of terrain that leans toward intermediate and advanced skiers.

Solitude Village has lodging and dining, and the Nordic and Snowshoe Center offers about 20 kilometers of trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
