Built in 2001 in preparation for the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games, the Utah Olympic Oval sits on five acres in Kearns, just 16 miles west of Salt Lake City. The facility houses Utah’s only 400 meter speed skating oval along with two international sized ice sheets, giving skaters and hockey players a serious place to train and compete.

The venue also includes a state of the art four lane, 442 meter running track, making it a multi-use space for both ice sports and running programs. Today the Oval continues to focus on growing participation in ice sports across the state, welcoming athletes of all levels alongside visitors curious about its Olympic history.
