Rowley’s Red Barn
Rowley’s Red Barn is a popular fruit farm in Santaquin that got its start back in 1984. This family-owned and operated facility constructed their very own cider mill in the 90s so that they would be able to provide the freshest, most delicious apple cider and juice to their loyal fans. Rowley’s Red Barn uses freshly picked apples to make their infamous apple cider donuts as well as a newer addition, an apple cider slushie! You can really take things to the next level by adding a scoop of their award-winning ice cream. Can you say delicious?
All through the month of September, you can stop by on Friday or Saturday to load up your very own box or bag. The friendly staff will teach you about the fruit, as well as the best way to harvest it to ensure that there is no damage to the tree or the produce. Rowley’s invites you to bring your cameras because the orchard is a beautiful setting for your annual family photos!
Burgess Orchards
Cherry Hill Farms – Alpine Utah in Alpine features more than 12 varieties of apples that are available from September through the beginning of December. Burgess is another location that offers you-pick opportunities for anyone interested, but they also have a unique group apple cider making activity that is worth checking out. All proceeds from these tours go directly to Primary Children’s Hospital. Burgess also makes their very own yummy caramel and is well known for their delicious peach ice cream and shakes.
Allred Orchards
The Allred family began their legacy in 1926 at their first family farm in Provo. This location has since been converted into a retail outlet for their produce, while their main operation, Allred Orchards, has moved south to Peyson. One of the family members, Rey, obtained a degree in horticulture to improve the family orchard. He has explored countless plant varieties, tree spacing techniques, irrigation systems, machinery, and many other innovative advancements in the industry to ensure that they’re growing the best produce possible.
